| AUDITIONS 2010! Do you love to sing? Do you love Gospel Music of all kinds? Good Noise is holding annual auditions and has openings in all sections of the choir (Soprano, Alto, Tenor/Bass) Auditions are open to singers age 18 and older. We have an amazing 2010-2011 planned. Here are some highlights: • John Lee Sanders – our guest artist for our Christmas concerts (www.johnleesanders.com) • January CD recording sessions for our first-ever CD!! • Guest performers at Surrey Envision Jazz Festival • World premiere of commissioned piece by renowned composer Paul Halley for the Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir, the Christ Church Cathedral Choir, and the Vancouver Children’s Choir! Auditions are on Monday, May 31st and Monday June 7th in the evening at Christ Church Cathedral, Burrard and Georgia, Vancouver. Auditions are by booked/confirmed times only - no walk-in's accepted. For the audition: 1) Prepare one Gospel or Gospel-like song to sing. If you don't know a Gospel song, please select a song you are comfortable singing. Please also select a song that shows your range (i.e. if you're auditioning for the soprano section, please select a song that shows your upper range) You may sing either accompanied or unaccompanied. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music to the audition of you will be using an accompanist. Recorded accompaniment is not permitted. 2) Be prepared to sing a few vocal exercises, indicating range and quality of voice. Please note: Good Noise does not admit "female tenors". Women's voices are in Soprano or Alto Sections. If you are a baritone/bass, you will be required to demonstrate a secure "falsetto/head voice".
