Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir (Good Noise) is back for the Christmas season with their hit concert series “Good Tidings! A Good Noise Gospel Christmas.” The iconic Christ Church Cathedral sets the stage for these much-loved holiday concerts, Dec. 15 at 8 pm and Dec 16 at 3 pm and 8 pm. Joining Good Noise this year are the dynamic, soulful and fabulously talented Gospel/R&B favourites, Timothy Fuller and Crystal Hicks in a program of inspired gospel, soul and jazz arrangements of Christmas classics.

For 20 years, Good Noise has been performing a dynamic gospel repertoire with a powerful message of hope, reconciliation, and peace. Since 2004, the mighty sound of Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir has connected the passion and power of gospel music with music lovers from the Metro Vancouver region and beyond. Joyfully singing great gospel music – from classics to contemporary to influences of Soul Music and R&B – Good Noise has established itself as a must-see and must-hear choir. Repeatedly voted as the #1 favourite Choral/Opera group in the Vancouver Courier “Stars of Vancouver” Reader’s Choice awards, it is the powerful connection with its audiences that sets Good Noise apart.

The Good Noise Good Tidings! concert offers a bevy of boisterous holiday hits, among which the high-energy gospel songs, Rejoice, by gospel great Richard Smallwood, a dynamic arrangement of “Angels We Have Heard on High.” The choir will also sing arrangements of Stevie Wonder’s Someday at Christmas and a Darlene Love/Staple Singers inspired song, Who Took The Merry out of Christmas, featuring guest artists, Timothy Fuller and Crystal Hicks. Joining the choir, Fuller and Hicks, is the powerhouse Good Noise Gospel Band, featuring Michael Kalanj on Hammond B3, Ingrid Stitt on Soprano and Alto Saxophones, Elliot Polsky on Drums and Laurence Mollerup on Bass.
